My name is Shatima Kemp, and I am excited to be a third-grade teacher at Daniel Pratt Elementary School. I am originally from the small town of Beatrice, Alabama. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education in 2019, followed by my Master of Science in Elementary Education in 2020. In May 2022, I received my Education Specialist Degree in Elementary Education, and most recently, I earned my Instructional Leadership Degree in Summer 2025.
This is my seventh year in education, and I truly love helping students learn and grow each day. Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my two children, Jesiah and Jayda, making memories with family, and enjoying the outdoors.
