Assistant Principal, Grades 1-3

Welcome!

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! I am excited to begin my eighth year as Assistant Principal for Grades 1-3 at Daniel Pratt Elementary. It is a privilege to work with our students, families, and staff each day, and I look forward to another wonderful year of learning, growth, and success.

Education

I earned my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Alabama State University and my Education Specialist degree from the University of West Alabama.

My educational career includes five years in the Dallas County School System and thirteen years teaching English in the Autauga County School System from 2005 to 2018. In August 2018, I began serving as an Assistant Principal. I am proud to be entering my 27th year as an educator.

My Goal

My goal is to help create a positive, safe, and supportive environment where every child can learn, grow, and reach their full potential. The elementary years are an important time in a child's life, and I am committed to ensuring that all students have the opportunities, encouragement, and instruction they need to be successful.

Family

On a personal note, I am blessed with a wonderful blended family. My husband, James, and I have been married for 18 years. We have two sons. My stepson, Courtney, serves with the Birmingham Fire Department and is the proud father of our two beautiful granddaughters, who make family time extra special. My son, Aiden, is a senior at Prattville High School. Go Lions!

Communication

I believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential to student success. I value your input and encourage you to contact me by phone, ParentSquare, or email whenever you have questions, concerns, or information you would like to share throughout the school year.
